The APTS union of the HSSS-IUGS has reiterated its call to artists to use an artwork for the front page of its 2012 Agenda. This year’s theme was focusing on the history of unions. For the second consecutive year, the watercolor I proposed was chosen during the APTS’ annual general meeting of members. "Crazy Hearts" will proudly adorn the 2012 edition.

A Dubaere for Jean Charest!

March 17, 2011
I’m so excited to know that Quebec’s Premier, Jean Charest, received one of my paintings as a gift. While in Sherbrooke on March 11th as part of a prestigious dinner, Mr. Charest delivered a speech for the members of the Sherbrooke’s Chamber of Commerce. To thank him for his presence, they gave him one of my paintings. I am very honoured and pleased that one of my paintings is now in the hands of the Quebec’s Prime minister.

An article, prepared by journalist André Bernier, was published in the “Journal de Sherbrooke” with the famous snapshot.

Solo exhibition and vernissage at the Coaticook Beaulne Museum

January 6th, 2011
Musée BeaulneDon’t miss this first appointment in 2011! From January 23rd to March 13th 2011, more than thirty of my paintings will be exhibited at the Beaulne Museum in Coaticook. Come meet me on January 23rd at 2pm for my vernissage and I will be happy to answer your questions.

My exhibition "Secret Places" hopes to bring people elsewhere or evoke positive emotional memories. Above all, I had great pleasure in creating rural scenes in bright and cheerful colors to bring happiness into the lives of art lovers. This time, in my artistic creation, I put forward the "hidden" beauties from our Quebec landscape. Often, we do not take the time to observe or notice the places and landscapes that surround us. Using the landscapes and architecture that inspired me during my many trips, I want to get visitors to stop for a moment to realize the rich heritage we have.

An invitation is sent to everyone!

Museum Hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 1pm to 4pm

My candidacy was accepted by the Beaulne Museum of Coaticook for a solo exhibition to be held from January 23th to March 13th, 2011. My exhibition will be called "Secret Places". This beautiful art center, an old castle dating from 1912 served as a second home for the Norton family. Arthur Osmore Norton had his office in that mansion, where he also ran his business.
